Money Making Surveys

There are hundreds of money making surveys available every day that are looking for “normal people”. If you want to enjoy a more independent lifestyle, earn money on your own terms and not have to kiss up to a boss, then this is perfect for you.

Now the question I get asked the most about this is: why do people get paid for surveys? The answer is that in all huge corporations, the people who make the big decisions live in a different world from people like us. They have big fancy houses, executive salaries, drive luxury cars, play golf and wear $4000 wrist-watches. They are “detached” from what the life of their average customer is like. And that’s why they need “average customers” to tell them about their opinions and preferences. It helps them to make better decisions.

It’s essential market research. In order to produce products that people want to buy, they need to find out what people like and don’t like. Only when they have this knowledge, can they decide on what to spend their multimillion dollar budgets. So it is crucial for them to get this data – and the way they do this is through surveys and online focus groups.

Benefits

There are many benefits to money making surveys. You can work where you want and when you want – all you need is an internet connection. That’s good for the marketing companies that want your opinions and good for you. In the past, they needed to invite people to market research events, and they had to provide for transportation, time, etc. The internet has eliminated the need to actually physically travel to some office building or hotel conference room and instead you can participate in surveys online at any time of the day.

Required Qualities

Now, all of this probably sounds great to you, but I want you to be aware of some possible downsides and “traps”. Most people think not having a boss and working on your own terms is great – and it can be great! But you have to develop certain skills. I had to figure this out myself the hard way. Not having a boss means that nobody will tell you what to do, nobody will check up on you, nobody will hold you responsible when you show up late or don’t finish a task on time. That’s awesome. But it also means that you will need to have self-discipline. For example, if you commit to spending three hours a day doing surveys, and after the fifth survey you get bored or want to do something else and just relax… then you can do it.

I know that sounds great, but I really want you to be aware of the downside of this “freedom”. Because basically, it’s the freedom to be lazy. And I think all of us have a tendency to be lazy, or at least a tendency to prefer things that are fun, rather than “work”.

For me personally, what worked was when I actually scheduled it the way my work would have been scheduled if I would be an employee. I got a calendar and wrote down how many hours I would spend doing the surveys, when I would make my breaks, and so on. This works really well for me, and I suggest you try it too.
