And I suggest you stay away from network marketing, because I personally know very few people who really make good money with it, but I know a lot of people who earn a lot of money with online marketing. I have also tried network marketing and have failed at it, so I’m speaking from personal experience here too.
Why do I recommend affiliate marketing? Because it’s an easy and low-cost way to get started that doesn’t require a lot of skills or luck. Vendors are also often willing to help fresh affiliates who promote their products to become more successful (simply because it’s in their own best interest).
Essentially, in order to be successful online, you must identify a hot market. Then you need to identify a need, something that the people in this market want. Then you need to create a product that appeals to these prospects and delivers the goods. Then you need to create marketing materials. Then you need to process orders and deal with customer support, keep up with legalities and set up, run and optimize a marketing campaign.
The problem with that is: it’s just too much work! If you have a team of people who knows what they are doing, you can make a killing with it. But this is something that takes a lot of time and financial resources.
When you are an online affiliate, all you need to do is to send people to a certain website, the beginning of a marketing campaign, and the vendor will take care of the rest. You get a commission every time a sale is made – and oftentimes the commission is as high as 50%. That means the vendor is willing to share 50% of the profits with you when you make a sale.
The best way to get started is to simply pick a product that is related to a subject you are knowledgeable or interested in and start writing about it. Then you publish your texts online.
